San Francisco Public Safety News was established with a simple aim: to demolish the wall of silence surrounding crime in San Francisco and spark a return to the heyday of crime reporting in our city.  

We have revived long-dormant coverage of state and federal criminal courts and produced a regular drumbeat of reports on serious violent crime committed by recidivists.
