Twice-deported illegal alien busted for third time dealing drugs in San Francisco

An illegal alien convicted of drug dealing in San Francisco, then deported, who then returned and was arrested for dealing more drugs in the city, and again deported, pleaded guilty to more San Francisco drug dealing today in federal court, having returned a third time.
Honduran national Brayan Martinez was seen by police making hand-to-hand drug sales one block from San Francisco federal courthouse on January 3 2024. On arrest he was found with fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.
This latest case was prosecuted in the city’s superior court where, after spending just over three months in jail, he was released on his own recognizance. He was then brought back to federal court.
Martinez had a long history of federal charges in San Francisco. In May 2020 he was convicted of conspiracy to distribute drugs and possession with intent to distribute drugs – as part of the notorious Reanos-Moreno trafficking gang – and sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment and deported.

In March 2022 he was arrested in San Francisco again after selling methamphetamine to an undercover police officer in the Tenderloin neighborhood. He was also found to have fentanyl, heroin and cocaine. He served 15 months’ federal imprisonment for violating the terms of his supervised release and was deported again.
Unbowed by this track record Martinez promptly came back to San Francisco and promptly resumed dealing drugs. He was arrested in January 2024.
Two earlier San Francisco drug arrests in 2017 and 2018 were dealt with in community justice court and young adult court.
Today in courtroom six of San Francisco federal courthouse Martinez pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and five probation violations.
U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer set sentencing for November 7. Martinez faces a five year mandatory minimum sentence for the drug charge.
The deeply embedded nature of Honduran drug traffickers in around San Francisco is well illustrated in this case. The court was earlier told that Martinez has a six-year-old child, evidently born in the U.S., who lives in the Bay Area with his wife, and is a pull factor drawing him back. His wife became pregnant as a 16 or 17 year old.
The case continues.
